Royal Oporto LBV 75cl
Tasting notes: A deep and dark-coloured LBV, with notes of red fruit and raisins complemented by berries and spices. Very fine on the palate, with firm and rounded tannins that provide a solid structure, finishing elegantly with excellent fruit character.
Food pairing: Dark chocolate, Roquefort cheese and red fruits.
Winemaking and Ageing: The grapes are carefully hand-picked to ensure the quality required for this LBV. Fermentation takes place in traditional stone lagares, followed by traditional foot treading, allowing for greater yet gentler extraction and providing the necessary concentration.
The wine is aged in oak vats for a period of 4 to 6 years, unlike a Vintage Port, which is aged for only 2 years before bottling.
