After a first maturation for 12 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, every drop is finished in Bordeaux casks, where the distinctive blackberry and blackcurrant flavours of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties build new layers against Bowmore’s signature orchard fruits and subtle smokiness.

• Nose: Fruit, Black Forest gateaux, cherries, salted caramel, hints of pine nuts and sea salt.
       
• Taste: Salty, drying and spicy up front, with notes of infused cherries underpinned by fresh hints of raspberries and strawberries, evolving with hints of bitter dark chocolate.
       
• Finish: Orchard fruits and soft smokiness.
