Vindima is inspired by the grape harvest in Portugal — Vindima is the festival in Madeira that lasts almost two and a half months.

From the fiery embers of summer into autumn’s warm embrace, Madeira’s harvest festival brings the community together to carefully handpick ripe grapes from the vine. Once the hard work is done, the streets burst into collective euphoria, alive with music, dance and a joyful spirit of celebration.

This whisky is matured in Madeira casks, specifically Malvasia in the Malmsey style.

It brings a rich, sweet twist to Glenmorangie’s elegance, with sticky orchard fruit and dark fruit notes, including sultanas, complemented by a gentle hint of spice.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Rich, smooth and honey-sweet, with gentle notes of baked peaches and oranges. Cocoa powder, creamy vanilla and perfumed floral notes follow. Honeysuckle, jasmine and carnation take over, with mandarin emerging when water is added.
• Palate: Syrupy texture with luscious flavours of candied orange peel, plump sultanas and milk chocolate truffles, alongside hints of aniseed and warming spices such as cinnamon, sweet chilli and clove. Woody notes, hazelnut and wood smoke appear towards the end.
• Finish: Long-lasting, with vinous grape notes reminiscent of the Malmsey Madeira casks. Malmsey is the English term for Malvasia.
