Quinta dos Carvalhais Touriga Nacional is a monovarietal wine that is an excellent example of the of Dão's noblest red grape varieties, and is only released in years of exceptional quality. Quinta dos Carvalhais represents the best of the Dão. This wine is ruby red in colour. An intense, complex and elegant wine with balsamic aromas, wild black fruit, floral nuances and hints of forest and shrubs. The notes of wood are very well combined, giving the wine complexity. The palate is harmonious and balanced, with soft tannins giving the wine structure and strength. There are also aromas of sous bois, forest and fruit on a long finish.
