‘Legado’ is a tribute by Fernando Guedes and his team to the best that the Douro has to offer, a simple homage to Sogrape's Sogrape's roots. With each harvest, it's up to nature to deliver the fruit of the eight hectares of centenary vineyards at centenary vineyards of Quinta do Caêdo, in Ervedosa do Douro.
Deep ruby colour. Extremely complex aroma, with intense stoniness, ripe red fruits, spices such as pepper and a slight ginger, a subtle touch of varnish, the result of a long ageing in wood, which is well integrated. On the palate, it has excellent balance, well-integrated acidity, high quality tannins, red fruits and white pepper, with an extremely long and delicate finish.
