The Reserva Tawny Port is aged in oak casks and vats of various sizes for a maximum period of 7 years. It is the Master Blender's responsibility to ensure that each blend respects the style and distinctive character of the category, with the older Ports contributing complexity and maturity, while the younger ones add vigour and freshness.
Fermentation takes place in autovinifiers and is interrupted by the addition of grape brandy, preserving the wine's natural sweetness. It then undergoes an ageing process in wooden casks and vats for a maximum of 7 years, qualifying it as a Reserva Tawny.
Tasting notes: A Tawny with a vibrant brick colour and golden highlights, reflecting its ageing in wood. It combines aromas of forest fruits with hints of dried fruits and spices. Rich on the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with a long and smooth finish.
How to best enjoy: Pairs beautifully with dried fruits, custard tarts or crème brûlée.
The Reserva Tawny Port is the result of a carefully crafted blend made from a selection of Ports of different ages.
Serving: Serve between 12 and 14°C. The bottle should be stored upright, protected from light and heat.
